Marilyn C. Timbers, CFP ®, CDFA ™

 

 Marilyn Timbers is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner who has also earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation. She has more than 20 years of experience in Financial Services with 15 years working with educators. Her primary areas of focus are Retirement Planning and Financial Planning Services surrounding divorce issues. Marilyn assists clients in preparing for their retirement with utilizing customized, risk appropriate and goal oriented Financial Planning.  She has authored several news articles about the effect of divorce on Retirement Planning which were published in NY Daily News, Forbes, Huffington Post, US News, Next Avenue, The Street, Fox Business, and Deseret News.

In her spare time, Marilyn proudly serves on the Connecticut Financial Planning Association Board of Directors as Director of Diversity and Inclusion.  Timbers is also a member of the Greenwich Junior League, and volunteers as a Financial Literacy coach for YWCA Domestic Violence Program.
